GROUP PSYCHOTHERAPY:
Parenting: Pain and Pleasure
Starting again in the Fall 2011, this confidential group will be a place where the challenges surrounding motherhood can be explored. The good, bad and ugly sides to this emotionally charged role have a legitimate place in our psyche and deserve to be heard so we don't displace negative feelings onto our kids.
If we can talk more honestly about the challenges and the emotional toll parenting takes on ourselves as women, we may begin to feel more legitimized and less alone. Women who are, or who have experienced pre and/or post natal depression are welcome and encouraged to join. This group is also appropriate for women of all ages who feel isolated and are longing for peer support, guidance and/or parenting advice. The fee is $60.00/session and will run weekly for one hour and a half.
